Built on a labour of love and a shared enthusiasm for all things camper-related, Supreme Conversions was founded by Ian and John, two dedicated professionals with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.

Our Story

Supreme Conversions was born from our love for camper vans and a desire to share that passion with others. After crafting our own vans and those of our family members, we realised it was time to bring our expertise to a wider audience.

Our vision is to build on our reputation and deliver high-quality builds that everyone can enjoy, creating vehicles that are as unique as the journeys they embark on.

IAN

Master Technician and Volkswagen Enthusiast

From a young boy, I always knew I’d do something with vehicles in one form or another.

My journey started at a famous motorsport company in Shropshire and from there I qualified as a level 3 vehicle technician, I then went on to gain a master technician qualification.

I have 21 years of experience working in main dealerships including Nissan Volkswagen Volvo & Ford.

I’m not only a level 3 tech I am a fully qualified EV diagnostic and auto electrician technician for BMW, Volkswagen, Volvo and Nissan so rest assured that your vehicles are in safe hands with us at Supreme Conversions.

I’ve been a Volkswagen enthusiast and was very lucky to own my first VW T4 van at the age of 24. It started out as an MTB van and then I converted it into a camper van for family getaways. It really gave me the bug for the Volkswagen scene. I have fully converted 3 vans myself to suit my family’s needs as we have grown.

My wife, son, and I enjoy weekends away in our van, with our 2 dogs. I also spend my spare time on my downhill mountain bike.

Things you might now know about me:

I taught myself how to play the guitar.
I was a banger racer for many years.
I have a big passion for motorbikes especially sports bikes.
I have run half and full marathons. I’ve also done triathlon sprints.

John

Diagnostic Specialist and Camper Van Aficionado

I have always been mad about cars and vans, especially Volkswagens.

I first started working in the trade in a family-run Volkswagen dealer in 2006, one of the oldest in the country where I learned my craft, becoming a fully qualified diagnostic level 3 technician, specialising in transmissions and then hybrid electric vehicles as they came to market.

After spending 8 years there I moved to another Volkswagen main dealer where I worked for another 7 years gaining specialist training in all-electric vehicles.

Since then I have worked for Porsche (level 3 and HVIT), Land Rover (level 2) and more recently worked as a vehicle electrical installer and body shop Met technician.

I started building camper vans as a hobby 6 years ago and currently have a 2015 T5 camper that I love and have travelled all over the country in with my wife and dog.

We love getting away and chilling by the fire with some music on (usually by the sea). This is what drives me to build vans for others so they can live the dream and explore and live life to the fullest like I do.

I am obsessed with mountain biking and pretty much every weekend take the bike out in the van to hit some of Shropshire or Wales’s finest downhill. There is no feeling like driving to the mountains at the crack of dawn with the bikes in the back and tunes blazing.

Things you might not know about me:

I play the guitar.
I’m qualified as a domestic and industrial Electrician as well as fitting solar PV panels.
I’m big into sports especially running, biking, and swimming. I’ve done 2 half Ironman’s and ran the London marathon twice, cycled across the UK in one day as well as many other challenges.
I have a classic Volkswagen Polo that I have been restoring in my spare time (when I find the time)!
I love a good curry and a real ale too!
AC/DC and Metallica are my favorite bands, and I’m partial to a bit of drum & bass too.
